The tour in the Afternoon starts at the Changling Tomb of Ming Tombs
to find traces of the Ming Dynasty by this majestic imperial mausoleum
complex. The Tianshou Mountain where the Ming Tombs are located is within
Changping County, 45 km to the north of Beijing, which form a group of
mausoleums, are those of 13 emperors in the Ming Dynasty (1368~1644).
They cover an area of about 120 square kilometers. Screened on the
northwest by the lofty Yanshan Mountains, they sit on a small basin
formed by floods.
Finally, move on to the Olympic Green to pay an exterior visit to the Bird's Nest and Water Cube.
Visit the National Stadium ( bird's nest). Its located at the Olympic Green, the stadium cost US$428 million. The design was awarded to a submission from the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron in April 2003 after a bidding process that included 13 final submissions.
Then continue to visit the "Water Cube" ( National Aquatics Center), is one of the best venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, built with donations from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan compatriot and overseas Chinese. It was chosen through public appraisals as one of “China ten big new architecture views” by The U.S. magazine "Business Weekly".

Firstly, start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square which is now the largest city plaza in the world. Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (about 109 acres), and able to accommodate 1,000,000 people at one time. Tiananmen Gate on the northern square was the site where the Chairman Mao announced the establishment of the People's Republic of China. The square is a conglomeration of splendid and beautiful flowers and the red national flag which flutters in the wind. The raising of the national flag is something which should not be missed by visitors to Tiananmen Square.
After sightseeing, walk into the Tiananmen you will meet the one of the world’s 5 most important palaces – Forbidden City, The
Forbidden City, also named the Palace Museum, shares the honor of being
one of five world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in
France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in the U.S. and
the Kremlin in Russia. The incomparable palace occupies an area of
720,000 square meters (177.9 acres) and has approximately 8,700 rooms. A
high red wall with a total length of 3,400 meters (3,718 yards) encases
the palace. The palace, the most magnificent and splendid palace
complex in China, was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Building in
1987. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the construction
of this group of buildings took fourteen years from 1406 to 1420.
In the afternoon, drive about 6km to next imperial site - Temple of Heaven. The
temple was constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and
was enlarged during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is the grandest
cult architecture complex in the world and a masterpiece of the Chinese
people created in ancient times. It covers 2,700,000 square meters (667
acres). Emperors of the two dynasties used to worship the heaven and
pray for rich harvests, as the feudal emperors thought they were the son
of the heaven. It is also one of the most brilliant ancient
architectural masterpieces in China. Today, it is a pleasant place for

The first stop for today is Summer Palace. The Summer Palace in Beijing integrates numerous traditional halls and pavilions into the Imperial Garden conceived by the Qing emperor Qianlong between 1750 and 1764 as the Garden of Clear Ripples. Using Kunming Lake, the former reservoir of the Yuan dynasty’s capital and Longevity Hill as the basic framework, the Summer Palace combined political and administrative, residential, spiritual, and recreational functions within a landscape of lakes and mountains, in accordance with the Chinese philosophy of balancing the works of man with nature.
Then move on to Beijing Hutongs. No place is better to read about the Old Beijing life than in the Hutongs. , where old Beijingers lived and are still lived by local people. Have a rickshaw trip in the Hutong allies and drop in at a local Hutong family.
The last stop is Nanluoguxiang. It will bring you to back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368) when the earliest hutongs and courtyard houses along Nanluoguxiang started to be built. It's one of the best preserved historical areas in downtown Beijing, is famous for its hutong and siheyuan courtyards. Recently the popularity of Nanluoguxiang has increased noticeably with tourist numbers on the rise after 2008 Olympic Games.
After the tour, transfer to railway station for your high-speed train to Xian. Upon arrival, our Xian local guide will pick you up from Xian train station. Transfer to your hotel.

original site was found by a local farmer drilling a well in 1974. Now
it has turned into the most important attraction in Xian - Terracotta
Warriors and Horse Museum. It is located about 30km east of the Xian
City. The museum includes Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well the exhibition
hall of the chariots and horses. The Pit 1 is the largest of the three. The museum and the mausoleum are listed as UNESCO world's cultural heritage.
Stay there over two hours and then have lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, drive back to Xi'an city to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Walk up the Big Wild Goose Pagoda's spiral staircase for an excellent view of Xi'an and countryside. Do this early or late in the day during the tourist season to avoid long waits. In ancient times, successful candidates in the highest imperial examinations always left their signature in the tower which was called Superscription of the Wild Goose Tower. In addition, many celebrities left poems or some other literature works.
Finally, you will visit Xian Muslim Quater. It is one of the most popular attractions. At sundown, this area really shows its color wth streets packed with food and random products.
