Day 1. Arrive in Beijing

Pick up service is arranged at Beijing train station or Beijing airport. Pick you up in time at the airport by our professional English-speaking guide and private driver. You will find a welcome signage " Beijing Private Tour" at the airport exit.

You will be transferred  to your hotel in Beijing downtown. The rest of day is free on your own to explore Beijing city.

Day 2. Beijing City Tour

In the morning around 9:00am, our guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby.

The first stop for today is Mutianyu Great Wall. Each China tour must includes Great Wall tour. "If you haven't climbed the Great Wall, you haven't seen China." Many of your friends who visited China before might have told you this. It is indeed an experience of life. As one of the best-preserved parts of the Great Wall, Mutianyu section of Great Wall used to serve as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. It's known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year.

Having lunch at local restaurant recommended by our Beijing local guide.

The tour in the Afternoon starts at the Changling Tomb of Ming Tombs to find traces of the Ming Dynasty by this majestic imperial mausoleum complex. The Tianshou Mountain where the Ming Tombs are located is within Changping County, 45 km to the north of Beijing, which form a group of mausoleums, are those of 13 emperors in the Ming Dynasty (1368~1644). They cover an area of about 120 square kilometers. Screened on the northwest by the lofty Yanshan Mountains, they sit on a small basin formed by floods.

Finally, move on to the Olympic Green to pay an exterior visit to the Bird's Nest and Water Cube.

Visit the National Stadium ( bird's nest). Its located at the Olympic Green, the stadium cost US$428 million. The design was awarded to a submission from the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron in April 2003 after a bidding process that included 13 final submissions.

Then continue to visit the "Water Cube( National Aquatics Center),  is one of the best venues of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, built with donations from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan compatriot and overseas Chinese. It was chosen through public appraisals as one of “China ten big new architecture views” by The U.S. magazine "Business Weekly".

After a delicious Quanjude roasted duck, enjoy a fantastic Chinese Kung Fu show. After the show, drive you back to your hotel.

Day 3. Beijing City Tour

Firstly, start to explore the historical face of Beijing with a brief visit to Tiananmen Square which is now the largest city plaza in the world. Tiananmen Square is the geographical center of Beijing City. It is the largest city square in the world, occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (about 109 acres), and able to accommodate 1,000,000 people at one time. Tiananmen Gate on the northern square was the site where the Chairman Mao announced the establishment of the People's Republic of China. The square is a conglomeration of splendid and beautiful flowers and the red national flag which flutters in the wind. The raising of the national flag is something which should not be missed by visitors to Tiananmen Square.

After sightseeing, walk into the Tiananmen you will meet the one of the world’s 5 most important palaces – Forbidden CityThe Forbidden City, also named the Palace Museum, shares the honor of being one of five world-famous palaces with the Palace of Versailles in France, Buckingham Palace in England, the White House in the U.S. and the Kremlin in Russia. The incomparable palace occupies an area of 720,000 square meters (177.9 acres) and has approximately 8,700 rooms. A high red wall with a total length of 3,400 meters (3,718 yards) encases the palace. The palace, the most magnificent and splendid palace complex in China, was listed as a World Cultural Heritage Building in 1987. It was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and the construction of this group of buildings took fourteen years from 1406 to 1420.

Have lunch at the local restaurant, taste the local cuisine in Beijing, and have a rest for two hours.

In the afternoon, drive about 6km to next imperial site - Temple of Heaven. The temple was constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and was enlarged during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is the grandest cult architecture complex in the world and a masterpiece of the Chinese people created in ancient times. It covers 2,700,000 square meters (667 acres). Emperors of the two dynasties used to worship the heaven and pray for rich harvests, as the feudal emperors thought they were the son of the heaven. It is also one of the most brilliant ancient architectural masterpieces in China. Today, it is a pleasant place for leisure stay of walking or sightseeing, also for exploration of local culture.

Day 4. Beijing - Xi'an

The first stop for today is Summer Palace. The Summer Palace in Beijing integrates numerous traditional halls and pavilions into the Imperial Garden conceived by the Qing emperor Qianlong between 1750 and 1764 as the Garden of Clear Ripples. Using Kunming Lake, the former reservoir of the Yuan dynasty’s capital and Longevity Hill as the basic framework, the Summer Palace combined political and administrative, residential, spiritual, and recreational functions within a landscape of lakes and mountains, in accordance with the Chinese philosophy of balancing the works of man with nature.

And then move on to Beijing Hutongs. No place is better to read about the Old Beijing life than in the Hutongs. , where old Beijingers lived and are still lived by local people. Have a rickshaw trip in the Hutong allies and drop in at a local Hutong family.

The last stop is Nanluoguxiang. It will bring you to back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271 – 1368) when the earliest hutongs and courtyard houses along Nanluoguxiang started to be built. It's one of the best preserved historical areas in downtown Beijing, is famous for its hutong and siheyuan courtyards. Recently the popularity of Nanluoguxiang has increased noticeably with tourist numbers on the rise after 2008 Olympic Games.

After the tour, transfer to railway station and take an overnight soft sleeper train to Xian.

Day 5. Xi'an City Tour

Upon your arrival in Xi'an. You will be picked up from Xi'an railway station. Our Xi'an local English speaking guide will meet you at the exit of the station with a Welcome signage" Xi'an Private Tour".

Starts your Xi'an tour directly. The first stop is To visit the Terra-cotta Warriors & Horse is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife.

The original site was found by a local farmer drilling a well in 1974. Now it has turned into the most important attraction in Xian - Terracotta Warriors and Horse Museum. It is located about 30km east of the Xian City. The museum includes Pit 1, Pit 2 and Pit 3 as well the exhibition hall of the chariots and horses. The Pit 1 is the largest of the three. The museum and the mausoleum are listed as UNESCO world's cultural heritage.

Stay there over two hours and then have lunch at the local restaurant. After lunch, drive back to Xi'an city to visit Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Walk up the Big Wild Goose Pagoda's spiral staircase for an excellent view of Xi'an and countryside. Do this early or late in the day during the tourist season to avoid long waits. In ancient times, successful candidates in the highest imperial examinations always left their signature in the tower which was called Superscription of the Wild Goose Tower. In addition, many celebrities left poems or some other literature works.

After visiting the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, you will be taken back to your hotel in Xi'an downtown.

Day 6. Departure

In the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. You will visit Xi'an Ancient City Wall today. This wall represents one of the oldest and best preserved Chinese city walls, as well being one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. Now it is 12 meters tall, 12-14 meters wide overing 14 kilometers in length with a deep moat surrounding it. You can walk, or even cycle on the wall. Its south gate is the most largest with a suspension bridge. Most of the tourists choose the south gate for sight- seeing.
