Visiting the Great Wall of China in April was an unforgettable experience. As expected, there were crowds everywhere—after all, it's one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Even so, we chose the Mutianyu section for our one-day tour, and it was absolutely worth it.
Despite the number of visitors, Mutianyu's beauty truly stood out. The Wall winds across lush green mountains, and the views from the watchtowers were nothing short of breathtaking. Our guide, Crystal, made the day even more enjoyable by helping us find quieter spots and sharing fascinating stories about the Wall's history.
Mutianyu definitely lives up to its reputation—majestic, peaceful in moments, and incredibly scenic. Standing on the Wall, surrounded by endless hills and centuries of history, was a powerful, once-in-a-lifetime moment I’ll always remember.
