I really enjoyed the sights on this trip, but I do wish we had more time to soak in each destination. Kunming’s Stone Forest was definitely impressive, and Dali’s lakes and pagodas were picturesque. Lijiang Old Town is lovely, and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain was incredible. Shangri-La was a highlight for me, but the drive to get there felt a bit long. The trip felt a bit rushed for me, especially with the long drives between cities. However, the landscapes and culture we experienced were absolutely worth it. If you’re ok with some long travel times, this is a solid itinerary.
