This was a fantastic tour in many ways, but I felt like we were spending a lot of time in the car. The sights, though, were worth it! Kunming’s Stone Forest was a stunning natural wonder and a must-see, and Dali was so picturesque, especially the Three Pagodas. Lijiang is as beautiful as advertised — its old town is magical and full of history. Shangri-La’s Tibetan culture was fascinating, but the drive to get there was quite long. If you're prepared for the long travel times between cities, this tour offers an excellent mix of natural beauty and cultural immersion. The guide was helpful, and the hotels were comfortable.
