The five day package covered a lot, Great Wall, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven and a hutong day. Our guide Chen was knowledgeable and warm. Two things made it a 4 instead of a 5. On day three the schedule was tight and we felt a bit rushed between sites, though Chen apologized and made the last hour looser. Also one of the group lunches was a big tourist hall, bland food, though every other meal was local and good. The driver was safe and the car clean the whole time. Would still recommend, just ask to slow down day three.
This tour covered everything - Forbidden City, Great Wall (both Mutianyu and Badaling), Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, hutongs, 798 Art District, and even a day trip to Tianjin. Guide David was a historian at heart and made each site come alive with stories. He also took us to a local breakfast spot on day 3 - douzhir (fermented bean drink) and jianbing from a street vendor. Adventurous and delicious. Driver Mr. Chen was invisible but always there when needed. Car was clean and he navigated Beijing traffic like a pro.
We came to Beijing as a family from France and didn’t quite know what to expect, but this trip turned out to be such a great experience. What really stood out was how patient and helpful the planning process was—there were quite a few back-and-forth emails, and every time we had questions or wanted to tweak something, we got quick and thoughtful replies. By the time we arrived, everything felt perfectly arranged for us. During the trip, our guide made a big difference—very easygoing, full of stories, and attentive without being overwhelming. The driver was always right there when we needed him, which made the whole journey feel seamless. One moment that really stayed with us was standing on the Great Wall—it was just breathtaking and surprisingly peaceful. Also, having restaurant suggestions and bookings handled for us saved a lot of hassle. Overall, it didn’t feel like a typical tour, more like a well-organized trip made just for us. We’d happily book with them again.
