Your tour starts with visiting The Palace Museum. It is situated in the heart of Beijing, the capital city of China. It was established on October 10, 1925. The museum is also known as the 'Purple' Forbidden City in Chinese, or the Forbidden City as it is commonly known in English. It covers 720,000 square meters and was the imperial palace for a succession of twenty-four emperors and their dynasties during the Ming and Qing periods of Chinese history. The museum is also China's largest and most complete architectural grouping of ancient halls. Construction was begun in 1420, the eighteenth year of Yongle, so that the site hasexisted for the past 580 years.

Next, pay a visit forBeijing Zhongshan Park. It is a wonderful escape into a more natural environment after visiting museums, galleries and Tianmen Square. Spring is particularly stunning in Zhongshan Park. There are huge swathes of tulips planted throughout the park lining paths, or adding splashes of colour under avenues of trees. It really has to be seen if visiting Beijing during the spring. In addition to the tulips there are also impressive displays of wisteria, bamboo and peonies. Cherry and apple blossom can also be enjoyed in the early days of spring.

The park was formerly the site of the imperial altar of "Land and Grain" and near the southern entrance is an ornamental, marble archway built by the Qing government to commemorate German Minister Baron von Kettler, who was killed during the Yihetuan Movement ("Boxer Rebellion") in 1900.

Continue your tour to Soog Ching Ling Memorial Residence. The Residence, late Honorary Chairman of the People's Republic of China, is situated at 46 North Rive Street in the Rear Lake area of the West City District. The residence was once a garden of one of the Qing Dynasty princes' mansions. The area along the banks of Rear Lake is quiet and beautiful, with shady willow trees lining the streets. Water from Rear Lake has been diverted through an underground channel into a stream that winds its way through the garden. This lovely Beijing garden is elegantly laid out with rockeries and ponds set off by pines, cypresses and flowers. Winding corridors links traditional-style halls and pavilions in the garden. The tasteful layout gives the garden an atmosphere of elegant antiquity.

The last stop for the tour is Beijing Lu Xun Museum. It is located in Xiertiao, Fuchengmennei Street, Beijing. It is the earliest "Autobiographic Literature Museum" being built after the founding of the PRC. Its former name is Beijing Lu Xun Former Residence at Xishantiao. The museum was built just near the former residence in 1954. It was opened to the out world on October 19, 1956, that is the 20th anniversary of Lu Xun's pass away. The new exhibition hall in ancient quad style is the continuation that was built in 1994 and adjacent to the former residence.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel, apartment or drop off at Beijing train station.
