Our eight-day trip through Shanghai, Xi'an, and Beijing with three families was packed with unforgettable experiences. From the start, the company impressed us with how quickly they responded and how detailed the itinerary was. They really took the time to address all our questions and make sure everything was perfectly planned.
In Shanghai, our guide Jack was the perfect mix of informative and fun. He brought Yuyuan Garden to life with stories of its history, and the Old French Concession felt even more special with his insights into its unique blend of cultures. Strolling through Tianzifang’s art galleries and boutique shops was such a highlight, and Nanjing Road had this lively energy we loved. The Huangpu River Cruise was the perfect way to wrap up our Shanghai experience—the city skyline at night was just magical.
After a smooth ride on the high-speed train, we arrived in Xi’an, where Lily welcomed us with so much warmth. The Terracotta Warriors left us in awe. Seeing them up close was even more impressive than we imagined, and Lily’s deep knowledge of the site made it even more fascinating. We also explored the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and enjoyed the lively, colorful atmosphere of the Muslim Quarter, where the street food was a hit with everyone. Ending the evening at the Tang Dynasty Sleepless City was a lot of fun, with its lights and live performances making for a vibrant close to the day.
In Beijing, Mia was our guide, and she really had a knack for bringing the city's history to life. We started with a visit to a local morning market, where we got a real feel for everyday life. Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City were huge highlights, and Mia’s stories about the emperors and their lives inside the palace made everything feel so vivid. Nanluoguxiang had a more relaxed pace, with its cozy alleyways and fun little shops. It was a nice change from the grand historical sites.
The Great Wall at Badaling was an absolute standout. Standing there, looking out over the mountains, was one of those moments we’ll all remember. Visiting the Ming Tombs afterward gave us a deeper appreciation for the history of the emperors buried there.
Across all three cities, the guides—Jack, Lily, and Mia—were incredible in their own ways. They were knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and made sure everything was seamless. The drivers were also fantastic, always professional and making sure we stayed on schedule without ever feeling rushed. The entire trip ran so smoothly, and we felt so well taken care of. Exploring China with our families was an experience none of us will forget.

Our week in Shanghai and Beijing with my mom was amazing! We started in Shanghai by exploring Yuyuan Garden, which was so peaceful, and the nearby bazaar was perfect for souvenir shopping. The Old French Concession had this charming, laid-back vibe with tree-lined streets and cozy cafes. Tianzifang, with its artsy shops and delicious street food, quickly became a favorite spot. Walking down Nanjing Road and seeing The Bund at night was a stunning way to end the day, with the city skyline all lit up.
On Day 3, we visited a morning market, which felt like a truly local experience—so many fresh ingredients and snacks to try. Later, we headed to Zhujiajiao Water Town, with its picturesque canals and quaint bridges, making for a peaceful afternoon.
The high-speed train to Beijing was smooth and comfortable. In Beijing, we jumped straight into the history with Tiananmen Square, the Temple of Heaven, and the Forbidden City. The size and history of the Forbidden City were really impressive. Nanluoguxiang Hutong was another highlight, with its narrow alleys, quirky shops, and cute cafes, where we enjoyed some great local food.
Mutianyu Great Wall was definitely a standout. The views from the top were incredible, and sharing that experience with my mom made it even more special. We wrapped up the trip at the Summer Palace, enjoying the beautiful gardens and lake, which was a relaxing way to end the week.
The guides throughout the trip were excellent, providing interesting insights and stories at every site. The transfers between attractions were seamless, so we never had to worry about anything. It was the perfect blend of sightseeing, great food, and quality time with my mom—an unforgettable experience.

Visiting the Badaling Great Wall and Dingling with my parents was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, our guide impressed us with their professionalism and extensive knowledge. They shared fascinating stories about the history of the Great Wall, making it feel alive as we walked along its ancient stones. I loved how they answered all our questions with patience, really enhancing our experience.
Our driver was equally fantastic—super friendly and always on time. It was great to see how seamlessly they worked together with our guide. It felt like a well-oiled machine, and we never wasted a moment. The transitions from one spot to another were smooth, allowing us to focus on soaking in the views rather than worrying about logistics.
I have to mention how responsive the company was from the very beginning. After my initial inquiry, they got back to me within 24 hours with an excellent itinerary that covered everything we wanted to see. They took the time to address all our concerns, which made us feel really valued as customers.
As for the sights themselves, the Great Wall was breathtaking! Standing on such a historic structure with my parents, surrounded by stunning landscapes, was a moment I'll cherish forever. And visiting Dingling, the tomb of the Ming Dynasty emperor, gave us a deeper appreciation for China’s rich history. We learned so much while enjoying the beautiful architecture and serene surroundings.
Overall, it was a perfect day filled with awe-inspiring sights, great company, and seamless service. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with my parents!

I had a free day during my business trip in Beijing, so I decided to make the most of it with a tour.
